I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 7th. instant on the subject of Kowloon Marine Lots Nos. 29, 30 and 31 and to state that the Govern- -ment can not recognise any claim in respect of any property except such as have a frontage on Reclamation Street as expressly provided for by the Ordinance.

I am to add that the Government is advised that no other portions of the property are in any way in- -juriously affected by the works authorised by the Ordinance and to request you to send without delay to the Director of Public Works any claims your clients may have under Section 12 of the Ordinance.
